Quantz Series Flutes top
The Quantz Series is an homage to the legendary Baroque composer and flutist, Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773), who gave us a rich and renowned abundance of flute compositions.
The spirit of each artisan at Pearl is reflected in the character of these instruments. This Series is highlighted by the aesthetic of the French Pointed Arms (pointed keys) for unmatched quickness of speed. When this is matched with our Pinless Mechanism and One-Piece Core-Bar Construction, the combinations are dramatic.
The Quantz Series are enhanced by a unique wall that gives a dark and rich sound, especially in the low register. Thus, the ability to shape the sound and scale, coupled with a new speed of movement, has shown Pearl’s true homage to Quantz!
765 Series - The top of the line - the first choice of most flutists. For a tremendous sound with an evenness of technique, the 765 is the one! This flute has a Sterling Silver Headjoint, Body and Footjoint, with Silver Clad keys.
665 Series - This may be the best bargain in history - all the features of the 765, in a more economical package. The 665 has a Sterling Silver Headjoint, with Silver Clad Body, Footjoint and Keys.
505 Series - It has often been said that to judge the worth of an idea or product, you must look at its simplest component. As such, Pearl’s most economical flute is surely one of the company’s most significant innovations. The New Quantz 505 flute joins the famous Pearl Quantz Series, with this completely new Silver Plated instrument. Now, every Pearl Flute, from this novice model to our Maesta line, has French Pointed arms - an industry first. The trademark Pearl sound and intonation standards are maintained.

Maesta/Opera Series Flutes top
Pearl Maesta: It has been more than 50 years since the first Pearl Flute was produced. Many flutemakers claim to be innovators, but Pearl’s innovation can be proven. Start with Pearl’s patented Pinless mechanism, which has set an industry standard for smoothness and reliability. Coupled with Pearl’s One-Piece Core-Bar Construction, there is no more dependable flute available. Japanese Quality Control has insured that an investment in these beautiful instruments will provide a lifetime of musical satisfaction. The goal of handmade creativity, coupled with meticulous assembly, is consequently realized. All of the above would be useless without Pearl’s revered commitment to accuracy of pitch, flexible articulation, and a beautiful and projecting sound. The Pearl Maesta series has reserved high standards for discriminating and intuitive flutists. Feel free to contact us for an audition of any of our Handmade Models.
Pearl Opera: The Opera Model is an homage to the flute making skills of the great French Flute Maker, Louis Lot. His devotion to the flutemaker’s art in the 19th century established a benchmark for perfection that has endured to this day. The Opera model is made in the Lot tradition by a single craftsman working for an entire year. Every piece of material - rod, screw, pad and post, is molded by hand to create this superb model. The key cups are noticeably smaller, to make for a more ergonomic and relaxed feel. The Opera Model can be ordered with any of your customized details, i.e., key height, key angle, and key thickness. The look and feel of this flute is a result of the maker’s meticulous skill combined with the modern technology of Pearl. A flute so special it is only available by special order.

Pearl Headjoint Models top
VIVO: The famed Hungarian flutist Janos Balint, was very influential in developing this headjoint. It has a powerful and responsive character, using its exclusive cambered taper. This VIVO design uses a considerable amount of modern sculpturing design to produce a radiant sound.
FORZA: This model is similar to the VIVO Model with a traditional taper. It is a very responsive headjoint, designed for all around performance.
CLASSICO: This is a more traditional Headjoint, and had a warm and rich projection. The French influence is obvious here. An elegant and refined tone is achieved by moderate over and undercutting upon this classical oval embouchure hole.
BOLERO: This model is similar to the CLASSICO, but with slightly more undercutting to decrease the resistance. The French sound is retained in this easy blowing version.
BRIO: A truly glorious core, with a solid low register. It is characterized by considerable under and over cutting, with a tall riser.
